March 2018 New York, USA
Robert Clergerie, the French classic shoe-making brand, announced the opening of a new independent boutique in New York.
Located at No. 901 Madison Avenue and adjacent to other world-renowned brands, the boutique shop is designed to adopt a new retail concept that was first introduced last September at the Rue St-honore flagship store in Paris.
Contrasting with strong colors, outstanding architectural elements and unique material mix, creating a private space for customers to roam in the latest series of products, enjoy a new shopping experience.
This brand has once again confirmed its future expansion plan since the opening of its flagship store in Paris in September 2017.
Jean Marc Loubier, president and chief executive officer of First Heritage Brands, said:
Clergerie has opened in Paris and New York, two of the world’s major shopping destinations, and I am very happy to support the development of the Clergerie brand.
Clergerie 901 Series
To celebrate the opening of the boutique, Clergerie will release the new 901 series.
The 901 series is selected from the Clergerie 2018 Spring and Summer Series and is designed by the new creative director David Tourniaire-beauciel.
The 901 series contains a brand new sneaker, with three versions, incorporating Clergerie brand elements such as natural lafite and High-tech fabrics.
The Yellow-Black limited edition of the sneakers will be sold exclusively at the Madison Boutique.
The starting point of the new retailing concept originates from Clergerie’s brand core and aesthetic concept, since the beginning of creation, the contrast and architectural elements have been incorporated into the design idea.
The mixture of color and material creates a feeling of warmth and comfort, and there is also a modern and mature atmosphere. The shop floor is designed with a jagged black and white marble checkerboard and a luxurious blue velvet sofa.
The irregular, textured mosaic of glass on the walls contrasts with the shiny black shelving structure.
The soft goat-bound panels clung to the striped lime wall, while the walls supported glass and steel shelves.
Store exterior wall using solid aluminum, showing a pattern, this geometric pattern is also used in the brand other city store design.
The windows in both locations create a fully open space effect and are fitted with brilliant lighting elements to make it flexible to transform dynamic effects.
Perry Oosting, chief executive of Clergerie, said:
The opening of the second flagship store is a very important step for us, where the world can see our brand. I am very pleased with David’s work in the spring and summer of 2018 and the exclusive style of the 901 series.
The New York flagship store is inspired by the Clergerie brand elements, combining materials, shapes and shapes in non-traditional ways.
The store design was completed by Milan company Vudafieri Saverino.
A new concept update for a full retail network will be completed in the first half of 2018.
